THOSE SCHOOLS LISTED THE LACK OF TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE, LINK TO CURRICULUM AND PARENT INVOLVEMENT AS THEIR LARGEST BARRIERS IN GETTING STARTED. MKA is ready to help your school break through those barriers. Here's how! This is one of our offered packages under our Curriculum Enhancement Program.  This package includes:  a two and a half hour intensive stakeholder workshop which will cover: - implementing a standards-based school garden program - assembling your "stakeholder team", - site planning/designing and prep and, - "nuts n' bolts" - supporting your garden through fundraising and grants, budget management, program promotion and assessment  This workshop is available separately for $550.

20 hours of "live" training which includes: - "Learning Walks" through active MKA School garden programs - shadowing instructor during "live" classes,  - opportunity for client to lead a lesson, - site visit to client school for site evaluation and recommendations

our toolkit "Learning from the Ground Up" which is complete with - a step-by-step guide to starting a school garden, - "How to" tips covering building support for your garden through fundraising and coporate donors, marketing your program as well as how to design your own lesson plans based on the standards and,  -  sample lesson plans to get you started.   At this time this toolkit is not being offered separately in the MKA store.   Each package is priced individually depending on the scope of work.  Please contact us to schedule a free consultation.
